So I know this is old news now, but with my first I bled for 8 weeks. It stopped and restarted the next day three times! The good news is that this baby is my second. I bled for 6 days. That's right. 6 Days. They keep saying every pregnancy is different. Maybe your next will be less messy like mine was. :)
And I really don't think it's your period. I breastfed my first exclusively and got pregnant during her tenth month, without a period. (Because you ovulate before you get a period.)

i had something similar. when i had my 1st daughter the midwife warned me i may start bleeding again and true to her word i did and it was heavier than before. when i had my second baby and the same happened i new not to get my hopes up that it had stopped. sure enough it came back an was heavier.

Have you called your doctor, just to make sure? I mean it sounds like a period...but if you're nervous, I say better safe than sorry

yeah it sounds like your period. I bleed for the first 3 weeks PP and haven't bleed since. I am at just over 4 weeks now. Not sure when to expect my period but know it will be heavier when it does arrive. I expect my could come later than 6 weeks since I am exclusively breast feeding and sometimes that stops ones period from coming back sooner.

with my first I was like you i bled for a few weeks and then at 8 weeks I took my period with no period pains etc so it could just be your period starting again.

ya its normal. im only at 4 weeks and i have next to no bleeding. im sure it will start again. or mayb the period has came and gone during the bleeding stages. i dont even wear a liner now as of couple days ago. i wish it would NEVER come back lol...

It's normal. Like someone else already said, your first periods after having the baby will likely be heavier than you're used to. This is my second and I also started bleeding a second time after a day or two of it having stopped.

mine was like that too (first child also). i wouldn't worry too much, but if it changes to an unusual color or smells funny, go see your dr.

Its normal. My bleeding stop after a wk and then it just popped back on three days ago. And its just like you described a heavy period type. My first child also and I was quick to call the doctor to make sure every thing was fine.

It's probably fine -mine dwindled off and just when I thought it was gonna stop, it came back bright red but very light-I think it was a period. I guess it's light because this was my 4th child and I'm getting old-lol-but I think everyone is different

if it is a period they do tend to be heavy after having a baby
this is my 1st baby aswell but after the "having the baby bleeding" (april 7th she was born) it went on for a few days then stopped and i aint bled since

I actually took it easy for a week and my discharge turned the light pinkish brown and stopped after one week, but came back bright red as soon as I was up chasing my kids again. It's not a period for me, it's still lochia.

yeah actually it did. But this bleeding is nothing like the after i had the baby bleeding..im pretty sure its a period but its so much heavier than the periods I had before i had my daughter so it made me wonder if any one else had been through this

I bled for about 4 weeks. It stopped for about a couple days and then I started bleeding again. Because my bleeding had mostly just been like brown discharge when it stopped, when it started again a couple days later it was period. Did your postpartum bleeding dwindle and look brown?
