Is anyone else using regular scented laundry detergent to wash their baby's clothes? My little girl's almost 4 months, and I didn't know if it was too early to start using the same detergent that we use to wash our clothes. Dreft is just so expensive.

You can use any FREE detergent it doesn't need to be Dreft. I had asked about it before I had my son and I was told that any Free and Clear was fine. I only use Free and Clear anyways because I do have sensitive skin.

I've used the Target brand baby detergent. I think it should be fine to wash baby clothes in regular detergent, though, at this point. However, I would use the unscented/fragrance free detergent to make it a bit more gentle.

I don't know what dreft is.. But then again I am from canada, i dont know about you guys :) But here you can buy laundry detergent called PUREX. and Purex has Purex baby soft . It smells wicked and I still use it for my 20 month olds clothes too because it is such a soft baby smell. My eldest is fine with adult detergent but I want to keep her a baby for so long but loving the big girl aspects too :)

I've been using it since he was born. I think it's fine. It just depends on you child's skin type, If they are sensitive they might need Dreft.

I think t can depend on your baby...3 of my 4 kids needed dreft or else they broke out, my oldest daughter stopped getting ehr clothes washed in dreft when she was 3 months and she was fine
