Me and my fiance haven't had sex without protection but i'm still starting to worry a little bit - HELP! X

My little one was born on the 29/04/10 and ive just got my first period now. Would be interesting to know how long it takes to return to a normal cycle.

They will be irregular for awhile probably. With my first I got one when she was 4 months old and now with my second who is 4 months old I still haven't gotten one. I am nursing, which in most cases will prolong getting one and also on the pill...everyone is different so just be patient it will come.

funny how our bodies are all so different. Still haven't gotten a period, and my daughter has been sleeping through the night for over a month.
Never got my period back until I quit nursing my son.

Haven't gotten one, and my daughter was born on 4/9. I'm breastfeeding, so that is why I haven't.

I never got a period after my first. I just got pregnant. She was ten months old and eating a lot of solid foods. I could tell my milk was dwindling a bit. If you don't want to get pregnant again, use protection. Remember, periods can be really irregular after a baby and you always ovulate before your period. Since most women have no idea when they are ovulating, you are asking for another pregnancy if you're not careful.
As for us, we are quite happy. We wanted another right away. :)

Hi chic my son is now 12 weeks and 1 day but i still haven't had my first period. I was worrying to start with like you but me and my partner haven't had unprotected sex either from whwt my sisters have said it can take quite a while for them to come back to normal after having a baby so there is no need to worry.

My son is 13 weeks and i've just had my 2nd period but inbetween i had the coil fitted my cycle is normal at the mo but is quite heavier than normal might have somthing to do with the coil but i'm hoping that when this one has finised i will get away with not having anymore cos i hadn't had a period for 3 yrs untill i had it removed, due to the coil is was so nice not to worry bout that every month Xxx

Dont stress!!! Its perfectly normal.. I had my 3rd child on 9th April 2010 I bled for 6 weeks, and I still have not had a period... the same thing happened with my other 2 children. My periods only really started to become regular after 3 or 4 months.
Also if you are breast feeding this too does effect your period.
Unless you have irritation, or pain, dont worry about it... its normal...

I just finished my second period, my bub is 12 weeks tomorrow. My first one came at approx 6 weeks, the second at around 10.5weeks (I have since gotten an Implanon fitted in between period time) - so not sure if my second period is to do with the Implanon but it is definately more than spot bleeding....
Apparently it has to do whether you breast feed or not too, if you breastfeed it may take longer to have your first period.

Ive just had my 2nd period and my son is 13 and a half wks old. My cycle length is normal but the duration and heaviness is up and down. Its like Im starting puberty again!! Lol my Mum told me it can take a year for things to straighten out

I'm still yet at 12 weeks post delivery to have any periods (touch wood) I have been told they can be really erratic when you get it back due to those good old hormones especially if you are breast feeding. So yes it is quite normal.
