To all you moms out there I need some advice. My son (6 months) has been having issues with constipation for almost 2 weeks now. He is eating 1 fruit and 1 vegetable daily along with his formula. I stopped giving him cereal because I was told it can cause constipation. The only thing that has changed in his diet is that he is now eating a wider variety of fruits and veggies which I would think helps things move along. I have been avoiding bananas and giving pears, prunes, and peaches which the doctor said help. His Doctor said to try apple juice 1-2 oz. But that doesn't seem to be helping. He used to have one poop a day, the consistency of peanut butter. Now his poops are small hard and compacted. Sometimes he has 3 of those a day and REALLY has to strain. Other days he doesn't go at all. Poor guy is really uncomfortable when he is trying to poop. How can I help the problem along? Any advice from mommys out there? Help us please! :)
