I was wondering if anyone can give me some info. my family and I just arrived from Korea to our new duty station, here in the states. My question(s) are, We had a car that we had to leave behind in the states. We bought a car in Korea-- had it shipped to our nearest port. Well, we flew home to get the other car.. we had to take a week to get everything dealt with to get the car we had left behind a tune up, plates up to date.. etc. Then we drove from our home of record, to the port to pick up the car. NOW.. will the car that we had to be picked up in our hometown get covered for the drive? or just the one at the port because it was shipped, and covered on the orders. Do we "suck it up" and we just get covered for the car from the port to our next duty station? Another question, Since we came from overseas, we lived on post. We were told that we will get Transit BAH.. how does that work? we arrived. my husband signed in, but it didn't even cover our Rent. I've been told that once he signs in, that he will get the transit BAH, but he will get back paid. Now, that doesn't sound right to me. Could anyone help me out with any info. Because my husband has gone to the Welcome Center where he has to go for the finance part, because he is still in process, and will not allow him to go to the other office until he is done in processing. They haven't really given him ANY info. And like I said before, they will not allow him to go elsewhere. Also, Is anyone at fort bliss ATM? can anyone tell me how fiance works here? When my husband signed in, he was told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks for us to get our claim, travel money back. What I'm asking is, how long did it take for you to get back the money that you paid in order to PCS. we paid out of pocket for just about everything. from the hotels, from overseas, to our home of record, to the port, and to our current duty station. Any Info would be helpful. Thank you so much.
