We are based at Fort Benning (Columbus, GA). When we first moved here I looked into all kinds of area museums and attractions for kiddos as well as local parks. I suggest you consult other local wives as they will know best. For us, I take my son to the Science Center at least once a month and there are actually some great military museums in the area which I have found are great for educating him about what daddy is doing :) best of luck

Fort Jackson, SC-- we enjoy going to the post park, the water park, bowling and library. We have gone to Frankie's funland. I hear ED adventure is really fun for the kid. Very hands on. When I'm new in town, I like to go on line and type things to do in whatever area we are in.
