Where I Am On The Political Spectrum

I'm a feminist. I fall on the left of the political spectrum somewhere between radicals and liberals.

The Political Issue That's Most Important To Me

Women's rights. I can't break it down further than that because women are the majority of the USA and the world, yet we hold so little political and economic power. This leads me to how few women in the world are educated, are not in control of their reproductive lives, and then it just spins out from there. Until women are valued as much as men (ditto for girls and boys) we won't see any progress in the world.

If I Was In Charge At The White House For One Day, I Would...

Tell everyone to come to work in jeans and t-shirts. That's my style. Then get to work on passing the Paycheck Fairness Act, repealing DOMA, stop deporting DREAMers, doubling Pell Grants and rolling back the Bush tax cuts. The Left have played defense for too long, it's time to push this country forward. I'd also make sure to hold one meeting in the bowling alley and ask the chef to make us a delish chocolate cake.
