The Leftovers Lady

by Lindsey Ismailova

What's a simple eco-friendly habit all families can start?

Eat your leftovers, don't throw away any food. Label and date your food. Freeze your food. Give it away. Just don't throw it away!

What would you say to moms who want to be more eco-friendly, but worry it will be more expensive?

No, my methods can save you money. I don't throw away food and I shop deals, so I don't think being eco-friendly has to cost more. In fact when it comes to cleaning, baking soda, lemon juice, and vinegar are way better than chemicals and also much cheaper.

What's one of your favorite eco-friendly brands you've discovered?

Arm and Hammer Baking Soda! .99cents a box!
