Where I Turn When I Need a Good Laugh

My husband is hilarious. He's like my straight man. If you read my blog you can see just how cool he is about putting himself out there. Of course he knew what he was in for when he married the Queen of Over-sharing. I post pictures of him sleeping with stuffed animals in his armpits - he's GOT to have a good sense of humor. I also have some great friends that are game for anything. We get together and asshattery ensues. There are many blogs in the Top 25 Funny Moms list that I visit regularly. This is one funny group of ladies.

My Child's Weirdest Habit

Just one? The absolute weirdest? That's tough to answer since his oddness is like a sentient being. His strange habits are transient (because he's 3.5 years old). I would have to say that his penchant for setting up elaborate crash scenes with a multitude of hot wheels cars is both incredibly creative and mildly disturbing. No car is ever seriously hurt and no vehicle is left behind though, so I take that as a good sign that he has a good sense of empathy. A close runner up is that he likes to gather a small booger ball on his upper lip while sucking his thumb. When I try to clean it off he yells 'No, I want that!' and insists I put it back. Umm... no.

The Most Bizarre Product I've Come Across as a Mom

There are so, so many strange parenting products/ideas out there. I saw a mat that you put on the floor and then you are supposed to put your toddler on it, tell them to 'stay' and then smack him/her with a little switch thing when they leave the mat. I'm not entirely sure that somewhere along the line a parent got the idea for this at a puppy training school. To clarify - this was not for time-outs - just to train them to 'stay'.
