Of all the parties you've thrown, which was your favorite?
As much fun as it is to do a blow-out, fully decorated shindig, I equally love a nice dinner party or other simple celebration where setup doesn't take too much longer than the event itself. This spring I threw a mom-kiddo happy hour for friends and their kids. It was on Friday the 13th – perfect for a monster theme. What's a great tip for keeping a party affordable?
Stick to one or two colors or designs and repeat, repeat, repeat. It will make so much more of an impact than lots of choppy decorations, reduces the cost and energy, and ties everything together.
What are some unique ideas for party favors?
I love sending dinner party guests home with breakfast for the next morning. A couple of freshly baked muffins or scones in a box with a cute tag does the trick.
