What's the biggest way that technology has made your life as a mom easier?

Even before I had children I was all about technology. I was techy even as a young kid. I took computer classes early on. And as an adult I have worked in IT for over 15 years. So I have had a good flow of tech know how going before my kids came along. Technology makes my life as a mom easier by keeping me in touch, connected, and on time. I use technology to keep track of our schedules so I always know where we need to be. And of course tech keeps us entertained. The DVD system in my van is a lifesaver for commuting and long trips. And everyone has their little game systems or computers to keep them entertained and educated. The key of course, is moderation.

What's your favorite app for moms?

Hmm.... I don't know that I can choose just one favorite app for moms. I have many that I use. I think it depends on what I am doing at the time. However, I will give a huge shout-out to Evernote which I use to organize just about everything in my head. It is an awesome notes app that lets me jot down ideas, plan blog postings, record thoughts and much more. That would be followed by Instagram which of course helps us take awesome photos of our kids and share them with the world.

What's the coolest gadget you've seen that could help moms?

I would have to say that the coolest gadget to help moms is a good smart phone or tablet computer. Of course the iPhone is still at the top of the list for phones. And the iPad is at the top of the list for tablets. And for a great Android Smartphone I love the Samsung Galaxy S2. Whichever you choose, a great smartphone or tablet will help you keep up with what is going on. You can access your email, calendar, contacts, and even apps to keep the kids busy and entertained while on the go.
