The Best Part of Living in the San Francisco Bay Area
The temperate climate is so livable. It is almost always easy to get out and about. There are so many different things to do. Being able to be out of doors in nature or at a cultural event, a plethora of museums of all kinds, too many amazing culinary offerings to match or stimulate any palate, proximity to ocean and mountains, and an overall attitude of healthy living...in body, mind and spirit...create my ideal living environment.
My Favorite Kid-friendly Activity in the Bay Area
My favorite kid-friendly activity is going to the Bay Area Discovery Museum. It appeals to all four of my kids...ages 2 through 12. They all love it, so no complaining means it is fun for me, too! There are outside areas and inside areas...places to think and places to run.
Some Say It's Hard to Raise a Child in the Bay Area...
I disagree 100%! Even on a budget, there is so much to experience here. Housing may be pricey, but there are great free activities going on year round. Food may be pricey, but you can find such amazing variety...and even cater to any and all food-allergy situations easily and tastily. While some of the schools could be better, there are a great many that are exceptional. The level of creativity in the Bay Area is phenomenal. Imagination is given great respect and not stifled. And I return to the weather! It is a perfect kid climate with its lack of extremes.
