Tales of a Hockey Wife
by Hockey Wife TalesWhat topics do you cover on your blog?
Tales of a Hockey Wife covers everyday snippets of my journey as a housewife and mother of two children...and a life that revolves around my husband's career in professional hockey. I like to find humor in my children's antics, my husband's short-comings...or reminiscence about years past when I was skinnier and not as wise. I love tabloid magazines, chocolate bars, and pole fitness. Whether you laugh with me or at me...I hope you can at least find a great laugh when you stop by my blog!
What do you like most about raising a child in Canada?
This is our third hockey season in Canada. It would be obvious that we are appreciative for the wonderful hockey programs for our son. You cannot find this quality of hockey instruction in Texas! Both of our children have their Canadian citizenship, and at this point our son has lived in Canada longer the the US. Both children now identify themselves as Canadian. I am so impressed that our children sing the Canadian National Anthem in school each day. You never see that in the US school system. Canadians are proud of their country...(and their Timmy Horton's coffee!) I also love the cultural diversity in Canada. I appreciate the fact that my children are learning about different ethnicities. I feel it is important to expose children to different cultures, faiths and beliefs at an early age. Canada is truly a melting pot of people from all over the world.
