My Favorite Part of Having a Big Family

The opportunity to enjoy so many personalities. I adore each one of my kids and love to watch them develop their talents and character. We love spending time together, traveling, and creating lovely family memories. My greatest joy is watching my children develop deep and wonderful friendships. Having a large family is not easy, but it's full of wonderful moments that I savor.

You Know You're a Big Family When...

You have less than half of your kids with you and you still hear "Wow, you've got your hands full."  You have to pay extra to add all your kids to the "family pass" at the local museum.  You get in line for a museum tour and they give you your own tour guide.  You read the fine print on the "Kids Eat Free" offers.  You've come up with dozens of snappy come-backs for the "Are they all yours?" question but usually you just say yes.  You don't fit into a regular minivan.  You buy shoes, jeans, milk, and peanut butter in bulk. Heck, you buy everything in bulk! You have to hide fresh-baked cookies if you want them to last more than a few hours.  People ask you how big your house is. You get pizza for dinner and the saleslady says, "Oh, are you having a party?"

Money-saving Tips I've Learned From Having a Big Family

Buy in bulk. Always spend less than you earn. Save for the big things; a little bit of money each month adds up over time. Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.

The Question You Should Never Ask a Mom of a Big Family

"Haven't you heard of birth control?"
