One Of The Funniest Experiences I've Had Traveling With Kids

Our family adventure holiday to Iceland with our 11-year-old son was a mixture of thrills and spills: being soaked to the skin whilst horse-riding, having our white-water rafting trip changed from a gentle Grade 1 paddle to a Grade 3 glacial torrent, snow-mobiling on a glacier and being hideously seasick on a whale-watching expedition. I laugh now but at the time I vowed in future to avoid all holiday activities with hyphens in them!

A Piece Of Travel Advice For Moms 

As soon as your child is able, equip them with a camera and let them loose. Our trips to Paris and Barcelona were made all the more enjoyable seeing what caught the eye of our son. He was far less irritable when we had to walk long distances as he could snap away to his heart's content.

Where I'd Go If I Could Take My Kids Anywhere In The World

We've visited a fair bit of Europe so far but as yet not been to the USA. I think it's time we put this right. Our son is 15 now; what do you think, dude ranching or New York?
