The Best Part of Living in the San Francisco Bay Area

I'm not sure if I can narrow that down to one answer. For me, it's the people, the weather and landscape, and the variety of food (and my hair is no longer frizzy; that's a plus as well).

Going to the beach. You give my kids sand and water and they are happy. The nice thing is that there are beaches up and down the coast as well as at the lakes. For them, it does not get better.

Some Say It's Hard to Raise a Child in the Bay Area...

Not at all. I think it's hard to raise kids, though! You have to make the best of what you have available. The most important advice is not overscheduling even though there are so many activities one can do. Maybe Mike does soccer, baseball, art, music, karate, science, etc, but that does not mean my son has to do the same.
