Where I Turn When I Need a Good Laugh

There are really, truly, a number of other Top 25 Funny Mom bloggers I follow regularly. Seeing them laugh about the trials and tribulations of parenting, as well as savoring its sweeter moments, keeps me sane. Beyond the world of the internet, I really depend upon my husband and my kids to help me see the lighter side of things. It's hard to be sour about the mishaps of family life when there is so much humor value built right in! I always say, nothing in life is a waste of time if it makes a good story.

My Child's Weirdest Habit

I don't know if the flexible napping skills are "weird," exactly, but they are definitely the most noteworthy. My father-in-law tells me that my oldest son reminds him a lot of my husband, who used to crash out in the oddest places as a child. He sleeps like a log at night, too, so he seems unlikely to ever suffer from troublesome insomnia. I'd say that ability to block out the world and attend to his own needs is probably a valuable gift!

The Most Bizarre Product I've Come Across as a Mom

No particular product rates at bizarre for me, but I will say that my kids never seem to use any toy the way the manufacturer intended. They want to upend the bikes to spin the wheels, dump all the sand OUT of the sandbox, and use the water table to build piles of dirt and rocks. You just never know what will work! I've learned to be flexible and not to pass judgment.
