The Best Part of Living in the San Francisco Bay Area
I hate answering this question for fear that I sound like I'm bragging, but here goes: the crisp, clear light. Easy access to hiking and biking trails. Farmers markets, year round. It sates the kids' desire to turn our house into a dog shelter.

I also appreciate the fact that my kids are growing up in a community renowned for its acceptance of diversity, and on the cutting edge of environmentally friendly living. They're going to be ambassadors of that sort of compassion and stewardship, wherever they choose to live.
