What's the single best decision about money you've made?
To start saving it! I remember the days where I was spending $200-$300 like every 2 weeks at Walmart. When I was teaching myself how to coupon I started off just clipping the stuff I always use and started to notice $50-$100 savings each trip and it just blossomed from there! Now I go to Walmart like every other month and it's for the "Clair's necessaries" that I can't get any other place or get them on sale lol
Does your child receive an allowance? If so, how much?
My daughter is 6 and does not receive a weekly allowance in money but she is always helping me out when I ask her to. She gets once a week at McDonalds and $2.00 when she goes shopping with me to use as she likes tho! I need to start giving her one but the Tooth Fairy has been busy in this household with 4 teeth in about 6 weeks here! lol
What's an easy way moms can trim their family food budget?
Track what you use. Sales generally come around every 3 months so that is a good guideline of time to keep track of EACH product you buy/use. It's time consuming at first but once you notice the savings you will see a difference in your budget. Stockpiling doesn't take one trip. It's going to take many, many, many trips over a period of time (mine took me 6 months to get a little ahead with everything that we use the most and waiting for a sale). If you know you go through a bag of Lay's Potato Chips (around $4.29) each week and you find a week of BOGO or 2/$5.00 or something...that would be a great time to purchase extra for the weeks ahead!
