What inspired you to start blogging? I was inspired to blog about my passion and love for cloth diapers and wanted to educate parents how using cloth diapers can make a difference by reducing landfill waste, can save parents money, and is healthier for baby. My blogging has also inspired me to write a book that is launching on Earth Day called "Changing Diapers: A Hip Mom's Guide To Modern Cloth Diapering". What are 3 things you can teach other moms to make their lives more eco-friendly?

What inspired you to start blogging? My blog started as an extension of a project that I work on, Puget Sound Fresh, to bring consumers and local farmers together. It quickly turned into a blog showcasing the things my family and I were doing to lower our carbon footprint, eat local and reduce our impact on the environment. Along the way, we've branched into doing some pretty wacky things but all in the spirit of making it more approachable to the average person. Out of my blog, I have been part of a eco-makeover show, Mission: Sustainable, and have written a book, The Non-Toxic Avenger: What you don't know can hurt you, due out Fall 2011. What inspired you to start blogging? GirlieGirl Army is a niche that I personally had been looking for when I had my whole vegan "aha" moment. I wanted to find a place for fabulous people who love animals and mama earth, but didn't want to dump their lipgloss and cocktails. It's a place for the fashionable and passionate activist, it was an online community that I needed, so I created it. You can find out what to do with frizzy hair and what’s going on in Darfur. You can wear hemp pasties under your couture gown, but head out to a benefit for pit bulls, all while nursing your toddler. Ce'st ma vie! You can live a fascinating, exciting life but also care about the earth. The two are not incongruous. What are 3 things you can teach other moms to make their lives more eco-friendly? There is simply nothing greener than being vegan! Here are a few reasons why:

I love Kaight for linear, chic clothes, Dr. Cow for gourmet vegan cheese, Vaute Couture for warm (but cruelty-free) coats, Cri de Coeur for eco-sexy shoes, Allison's Gourmet for Brownies, Sweet & Sara for animal-free marshmallows, MooShoes for accessories, Gnosis gourmet vegan/ organic/ superfood chocolates, UrthChild and Giggle for my son Panther, etc etc etc!
