19. Jen and Joey Go Green by Jen and Joey |
What inspired you to start blogging? Friends and family were always asking me questions about how to live a more sustainable life so I thought an easy way to answer these questions and to share what we were doing to be more eco-friendly was to start blogging! I decided to focus strictly on the environment because it is something I am really passionate about. I wanted to create a little community where we could learn from each others successes (and failures), laugh and celebrate the awesome things we are doing to make this world a better place. What are 3 things you can teach other moms to make their lives more eco-friendly?

20. The Green Parent by Jenn Savedge |
What inspired you to start blogging? When I started The Green Parent, there really wasn't a lot of information out there for folks who were trying to go green while raising a family. There were a few green websites, but the information they offered, like say "running all of your errands by bike," didn't exactly translate for families. Now, there are lots of awesome sites written by eco-moms and dads (like the folks on this list!) and I love the feedback, support, and networking that has developed within this community. What are 3 things you can teach other moms to make their lives more eco-friendly?

21. Spit That Out by Paige Wolf |
What inspired you to start blogging? Parents in the 21st century have to deal with tremendous concerns and information overload, the likes of which past generations never imagined. In addition to the age-old daunting task of raising happy, healthy babies, we are constantly bombarded with new and contradictory research concerning environmental toxins, long-term product effects, and the far-reaching impact of every product we purchase and decision we make. The goal of my book and blog is to present facts, debunk myths, and help parents stay on a reasonable and responsible course without losing their minds. Whether they are cloth-diapering, holistic mamas or moms who still can’t give up their designer duds, all modern mothers can relate to the desperation of wanting to do the best for their children — and feeling hopelessly overwhelmed in the process. What are 3 things you can teach other moms to make their lives more eco-friendly?
