How We Became an Expat Family

My husband and I worked for the same company but in separate countries (he was in France and I was in the US). Our company made great efforts to get us both on the same continent and I ended up moving to France to join him three years ago.

What I Enjoy Most and Least About Where I Live

Where do I begin, I love the French cheeses, the French breads and most of all the French wines! The countryside is beautiful and there is always something to see and do! I also love the immersion in a new culture and language that is quickly becoming my son's first identity.

The hardest thing besides the adjustment period has been trying to raise our son without any help from family or friends. We are responsible for each other 100%.

We moved to Cyprus! Although it took a couple of years as we brought our apartment ‘off plan’ it was almost decided on the spur of the moment. We thought we would rather live in Cyprus so we just did it!

I enjoy pretty much everything, the change of lifestyle, the weather, the location, and the new friends we have made but I do miss my friends in the UK.
