What inspired you to start blogging?

When I first started my blog just two years ago I wasn’t quite sure what direction I wanted to take it. There are so many aspects of my life that make me who I am and I didn’t know how to incorporate all of these elements. I suppose it’s only natural that my blog would become a reflection of my most important position in life….motherhood. There are many things in life that inspire me, but my children and husband are always the root of my inspiration. Yes, my blog focuses on my children and their unique kid style, but I hope my readers will find more when they visit. I hope that this journal of motherhood will inspire other moms out there.

How do you keep up with the latest kids fashion and being a mom?

Now that I am a mom, it’s actually easy to keep up with the latest kid’s fashion. Anything that has to do with kid’s style instantly grabs my attention. In the little spare time that I have you can usually find me searching the web or browsing through catalogs and magazines. I love to tear out pictures and recreate them “my” way. There are so many amazing blogs and sites out there that I feel like the resources are endless. And of course, I always go straight to my favorite kid’s lines to cruise their online stores.

What are three things parents should think about when styling their kids? 

1. Comfort. I would NEVER make my kids wear something that wasn’t comfortable. There have been many cases of buying the cutest shoes ever, but all I got was complaints. I know what it’s like to wear something that doesn’t feel good and I would never put my kids through that.
2. Be creative. When piecing together an outfit remember that it doesn’t always have to match. It’s ok to mix stripes with florals or pair stripes on stripes. And definitely add color here and there. I love to add color with shoes!
3. Include your kids. It’s not fair or fun to the kids if you show them what they have to wear all the time. Now that my boys are a little older they have a voice and they certainly know how to use it. They both love Star Wars and could wear that apparel all day long. We compromise by pairing a vintage inspired Star Wars tee with worn jeans, a belt and converse. Toss on a hat and we’re ready to go.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started blogging to keep a record of things I was making for my little girls (they were babies at the time and I only had two, and now I am about to have four). I was amazed at this big crafting community out there that I never knew existed and so badly wanted to be part of it all. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined how wonderful this experience would be and how many friends I would make. That is the best part of blogging, you have friends all over the place!

How do you keep up with the latest kids fashion and being a mom?

Blogs help keep me well informed and I pretty much just go with what I love. I have always loved vintage and that is what our closets are predominantly comprised of.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started seeing so many beautiful and inspirational blogs, that I just decided to be part of the blogger community. Then I had the idea to document my daughter's adventures and our family moments, and also wanted to share our everyday life, favorite food, crafting, photography, arts, drawing; in short everything that surrounds this wonderful world (our color land).

How do you keep up with the latest kids fashion and being a mom?

It's simple, I let my daughter decide her own fashion style (even if sometimes it's a little crazy). Also I like to visit several blogs to get ideas, get to know new brands and wait for good deals.

What are three things parents should think about when styling their kids?

1. Comfort: Kids like to feel comfortable and free when they're playing.
2. Price: Know what you want and find the best price, remember that children grow up too fast and it's always good to save some money if it's possible.
3. Inspiration and creativity: Dress your kids like kids and let them have fun styling themselves, let them use their favorite colors and patterns, children are the most creative people.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I have always been passionate about the arts and have a knack for finding things. I think I really wanted to share my treasures with like-minded people and gain web presence before opening my own online kids' shop.

How do you keep up with the latest kids fashion and being a mom?

Well, "where there's a will there's a way"! I'm a very busy mum of three wonderful children (Miles 6, Savannah 8 and Dylan 15 years old) but I love blogging, and I really enjoy keeping track of what's going on in the kids' fashion/design world. I'm curious by nature, enthusiastic and have "eyes in the back of my head". I also work hard and don't seem to need much sleep.

What are three things parents should think about when styling their kids?

1. How old are they? I tend to think that kids grow up far too quickly. Let them be children for as long as they can, have fun, choose their own clothes once in a while. They'll surprise you!
2. It looks great, but can they move freely, slay dragons, fly with Tinkerbell AND conquer space?
3. Colour has a wonderful effect on everyone.

What inspired you to start blogging?

After starting our web shop and our Facebook page, we (Marieke, my sister, and I - Rachel) wanted to start a blog. Not blogging for the need of blogging, but to create a platform where we can show what we feel is wow. We want wow is represented in 3 social media and the blog is there to write, inspire, show, link and give our opinion. On our blog we like to be free. There is space and time and you are not limited to a certain number of words. It's a very nice and free way of expressing our vision.

How do you keep up with the latest kids fashion and being a mom?

Marieke is always on top of the latest fashion. She's browsing the net and checking most brands on a weekly basis. It's necessary to be in touch when you have your own brand and shop, but also fun to see what's out there. Part of our blog and vision is to bring fashion that we like. Mixing and matching different brands is what we like to most. We both like to work. Being a working mom is the best of both worlds. We can grow and develop and at the same time enjoy the life with our kids.

What are three things parents should think about when styling their kids?

1. Mix and match. Try basics from the brand you like with a special wow piece from a new brand.
2. Don't get caught in the easy or comfortable way. In the morning, family life is busy. So select the clothes for your kid the night before. Have a little imagination; and do not always think in the comfortable way.
3. Try out a different brand once in a while. The advantage of the internet is so big. You now have the world at your disposal, so make a little use of it once in a while.
