1The Vintage Pearl by Erin |

What inspired you to start a mom-shop? I began selling jewelry online in 2007 -- making jewelry was a creative outlet while being a stay-at-home mom to our 4 young kids. Quite surprisingly, it grew into a business. I taught myself how to make jewelry by Googling, reading books and magazines. I started out on eBay, then opened up a shop on Etsy, then eventually got my own website, my own little corner of the internet. I really enjoyed it and it helped me bring in a little bit of income while having the flexibility of staying home with our kids. Some great items from The Vintage Pearl: |

2Buggie & Jellybean by Amy H |

What inspired you to start a mom-shop? I have always been the creative type, you know the one in school who would rather take a pottery class then sports. So as I have had more time at home over the past 5 years with my kiddies, I craved that creative outlet. Something to pour my mind into and maybe make a little extra money on the side. The perfect balance. What are three adjectives that describe your mom-shop?

3Lil Blue Boo by Ashley Hackshaw |

What inspired you to start a mom-shop? I started Lil Blue Boo to encourage others to find their creative streak. I love sewing, silk screening, painting, photography, journaling, and power tools. I have a serious obsession for color, fabric and trinkets. I love sharing every little tip and project. My Lil Blue Boo sewing pattern line grew out of a love of new and reclaimed knits. I love coming up with unique one-of-a-kind and limited edition knit clothing for adults and children and I love sharing the process with others. Lil Blue Boo clothing is an eclectic mix of original hand cut silk screens, vintage finds, recycled fabrics, and comfortable style. What are three adjectives that describe your mom-shop?
