The Best Part About Having Multiples I love so many aspects of having multiples. I love to watch them interact with each other, I love to see their distinct personalities and qualities, and I love to know what a fun life they already have and will continue to have. Honestly I'm a little jealous...I always wanted a twin sister! The Hardest Part About Having Multiples I don't know how I survived the NICU (including a devastating death and 3 surgeries) or the first 3-6 months they were home. What a challenge! Luckily, we had a lot of family and friend support. For the first months at home, my parents and Dan's (my husband) parents were incredibly helpful. I don't know if we could have survived! Other hard parts are when all three want me at once and I can't give each one the attention they deserve, and logistics are something to get used to! Just to get out the door takes planning and TIME! I haven't figured out how to get out the door in a timely manner yet. My Favorite Posts

The Best Part About Having Multiples I love being able to watch how incredibly different two children are, even when they are raised the same way, have the same influences, and are the same age. I love how well they know each other, how they defend each other and how well they can play together. The Hardest Part About Having Multiples The hardest part is, perhaps, the sense of being completely overwhelmed at times. It is so hard to give your full attention to more than one child at a time and when they are the same age and going through the same things, developmentally, it can become very difficult to give them what they need. The Best Part About Having Multiples We're always on the move. It's so much fun watching them grow and seeing their relationships with one another develop. Now that my girls are past the infant stage we can get out more and explore. The Hardest Part About Having Multiples Making sure they all get the attention they deserve. It's easy to be with them as a group. Finding one-on-one time is more difficult. We try to set aside some individual time or take just one of them on a quick errand. It's nice to get out with just one and see her personality away from her sisters. My Favorite Posts |
