What inspired you to start blogging?

Mostly pure excitement for a creative avenue of communication. We felt that creating a blog was an ideal way to keep our followers aware of what is happening everyday at Silverbox. It's the personal touch a blog offers, that we like the most. Our biggest reward comes from making people feel like a superstar, whether highlighted in a photo session, invitation or special event.

What are three distinctive features of your blog?

Wow! What a great question. It's so easy to get lost in the mix of the blogging community.

1. Our blog, for the most part, is work that has been designed and created by Silverbox. Yes, we'll sprinkle some fabulous finds in the mix from week to week, but mostly, any event, party invitation, etc was created by us. Everything that we highlight on our blog was created for a real life party.
2. Because we are a studio that specializes in both the design of a party and capturing the special day through photography, our blog posts contain a mixture of both aspects. Like our studio, our blog is where design and photography meet passion. Basically, our blog shows our one-stop-shop ability for those big days.
3. Our blog posts predominantly consist of our unique designs that began with a white canvas for each customer.

What is your favorite part of planning parties?

Threading a theme for each event from the invitation to the thank you cards and anything in between. Seeing the party come together is the most rewarding. We love making sure they're celebrating in style and that the day highlights their personality.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I love parties and love to plan them! I always seem to get great feedback and many questions about how to pull off my ideas when I put on a party or charity event. It made me realize that most people want to have fun & unique parties, but don't know where to start. So, I created my blog to show the moms who aren't professional party planners how they can pull off a great party while staying within a budget. So many parties seem to be "over-the-top". My goal is to break down the details of the "over-the-top party". I wanted to show DIY tricks and party secrets that I incorporate in my own parties. Anyone can have a fantastic party!

What are three distinctive features of your blog?

1. I LOVE to focus on vintage.
2. I try to give budget friendly tips and do a cost breakdown on all projects.
3. I do all aspects of creating a party from start to finish.

What is your favorite part of planning parties?

The details. Once a theme is decided on, I love to find fun and unique ways to incorporate the theme into all aspects of the party. I love the challenge and seeing the kids having a great time makes it all worth it.

What inspired you to start blogging?

My blog is an extension of my website with a little bit of my voice. My website is stepping stone for clients to see my work, but on my blog potential clients can see me in action -- the blog is updated weekly, while my website is updated probably every 6 months.

What are three distinctive features of your blog?

1. My blog is my voice, I write how I speak. I am fun, traditional, passionate and resourceful -- my blog reflects that.
2. I only feature parties and weddings I create.
3. I answer your questions. It could be where I found the ring I am wearing in a picture, how I juggle being a business owner, or where I got a silver colored vase. I am happy to help. I share as much as I can with out "giving away the kitchen sink".

What is your favorite part of planning parties?

The execution! When it all comes together and a client walks in and it is every thing they have envisioned and more!

1. I have a few celebrity clients, but this Construction Party for Kelly Rutherford was so fun! The people, the venue and the decor!
2. I am a die hard Lilly Pulitzer fan, so this party was a treat on my eyes!
3. My own daughter's tricycle dessert party
