1The Quiet Life of Violet by S. Violet |
What Inspired Me to Start Blogging Well, I was very into scrap-booking (correction: I was into looking at other people's scrapbooks and BUYING scrap-booking supplies) and in 2005, I saw a lady named Miss Elsie Flannigan (now Larson) in one of the magazines I brought along with me to the hospital during a chemo treatment. I LOVED her style, use of colors and design skills, and noticed that she had something called a blog. So, once I got out of the hospital after six long days of chemo, I decided to look up her link and see what this "blog" business was all about. It opened my whole world up! I eventually decided to start my own blog as a sort of way to document my life, express my feelings and hopefully connect with others. Three Words That Describe My Blog Honest. Real. 2Expecting Models by Expecting Models |
What Inspired Me to Start Blogging Expecting Models has grown beyond my wildest dreams. In the world of maternity modeling I have found that each of our models has such a unique story. Having a place to share and exchange advice, address topics or simply share, were never available to me when I was a pregnant model. I had no idea what women like me were feeling. Having a place to share the in's and out's of pregnancy created a sense of community where women could relate or just drop in. We share feeings, news, and events which has been a very rewarding experience. Our team of women have come together to share our wealth and give back to one another. Together we can move mountains. Expecting Models is a primary example. There is room at the top for everyone! Your feelings are newsworthy! Three Words That Describe My Blog Community. Nurturing. Fun. My Three Favorite Posts

3Up Mommy Creek by Amy |
What Inspired Me to Start Blogging I have flirted with blogging throughout the years, mostly as a part of my travels. When I spent a couple of years in SE Asia, blogging was a way to keep my loved ones updated. The blog fell by the wayside when I returned to Canada and settled down, and I never really gave it much of a thought. But then I got a big fat plus sign on a pregnancy test, and I realized I was starting on another journey, this time to unknown territory! I started Up Mommy Creek because I wanted a way to express how I was feeling, and to document the crazy road I was traveling on. I figured I couldn’t be the only first-time mommy without a clue, and thought perhaps my experiences would be helpful to others, and those who were more experienced could share with me. This is definitely the most rewarding and interesting experience I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to see how it will turn out! Three Words That Describe My Blog Honest. Witty.
