What inspired you to start blogging?

I began to blog several years ago, when I had just started my journey as a stay at home mom. I felt inadequate…stressed…and frankly like I should be vacuuming in pearls and high heels. Realizing that I was not alone in my crazy quest to be “Supermom,” I began my website. I wanted to establish a place where moms could come together, receive validation, find useful tips, realistic recipes, and a true-to-life picture of everyday motherhood. We’re not perfect, but we wake up each day wanting what is best for our families and our children. We try. We fail. We’re chasing the dream…chasing “Supermom.”

What are three distinctive features of your blog?

1. The Confessional - A popular weekly feature that allows a different mom each week to confess her mothering sins and shame all in the name of validation and absolution.
2. Recipes that aim for the “Supermom Trifecta” : Cheap, Easy, The Kids Will Eat It.
3. Learning Activities and Lesson Plans that even the busiest of moms can do with their kids.
   

What are your three favorite posts?

What inspired you to start blogging?

When I first became a stay-at-home mom, I began entering sweepstakes, contests and blog giveaways online in the hopes of lessening the financial burden of suddenly becoming a one-income household. It quickly became a fun and interesting hobby. Over the next several months, I found myself drawn to the blog giveaways hosted by other stay-at-home moms. I loved reading about their family’s daily dramas, watching their children grow and discovering their thoughts and impressions of the latest family-friendly products. It looked like so much fun and since I enjoy writing and am kind of a computer geek at heart, I decided to give it a try. Now, fourteen months later, I can’t imagine my life without blogging.

What are three distinctive features of your blog?

1. I believe that I stand out as a writer because I am extremely thorough and do my best to choose just the right words and phrases to make my ideas come alive to my readers. I constantly try to put myself in their shoes to make sure that I've described something well enough and am answering the questions that I would be asking myself if I was reading this same product review.
2. I am always available to my readers and reply back to every comment, question or suggestion quickly and courteously. I pride myself on responding to each and every email the very same day it’s received.
3. I love to entertain and try to infuse every one of my product reviews with humor. Just because my readers are discovering more about a new and interesting product doesn’t mean they can’t laugh at the same time.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started my first blog to help promote the handmade jewelry shop I had just opened on Etsy. After joining a couple of mom forums, I found out about the wonderful world of reviews and wanted just a little piece of it. After just a few months, I launched Outnumbered 3 to 1 to focus on reviews, family stories and memes that I participate in.

What are three distinctive features of your blog?

1. Outnumbered 3 to 1 gives a diversified look at products with its expanded authorship. With four writers in households with differently aged children, Outnumbered 3 to 1 reaches a wider range of families.
2. Not only does it have a wide angle on reviews, but it has expanded to cater to hobbies with it's craft section, home-style recipes and the ever expanding coupon market. With each section coming out weekly on Mon, Wed and Thurs, readers always have something new to look forward to in areas they can anticipate.
3. Outnumbered 3 to 1 has an advanced administer that has been around the blogging world for a couple of years and has attached to the blog loyal readers unlike some of the blogs wherein most are there for the giveaways; Outnumbered 3 to 1's readers are loyal subscribers that enjoy what the blog has to offer and believe in what it represents.
