There is a craft club in my neighborhood. The ladies take turns being in charge.
We bought a six pack of bottled soda and drank all but one. Then rinsed the bottles and dried them (can be done in the dishwasher). KEEP THE BOTTLE CAPS!
We spray painted the case brown. Then wrapped scrapbook paper around the middle of each bottle. Circles were cut to glue onto the lid. Pictures were cut into circles to glue onto the the middle of each bottle on top of the scrapbook paper. Ribbon was tied around the top of each bottle, with a little dangle circle that had a message on it, like "Happy Father's Day" or "#1 Dad." Tip: use hot glue for the paper being glued to the bottle or the caps. Glue stick works for the paper to paper combos.
Then we filled the empty bottle with goodies: M&M's, skittles, goldfish crackers, nuts, etc. Then replace the caps. To put the caps back on tight, put a towel over the cap and tap the cap with a hammer. Replace the bottles into the six pack case and you have a cutsie Father's Day gift!
One of the ladies suggested we save the bottles and refill them again for special occasions or for Father's Day next year so that all that work doesn't go to waste.
This project could be done with your kids.
