With the first one, yes, I did the class we were told to do but left halfway. I actually can deal with my own pain better than dealing with someone else's so it was very hard to watch the videos and stuff.

Jake- Lamaze. Made it to one class! Snow storm cancelle one and then MLK day cancelled the other and he was 2 weeks early. Josh- nope. Just read books and did the room.

Yes I did all of that and then some. But it all didn't go as planned. I had a contraction chart which I was going to fill out when they started but I never got a chance to. My waters broke at home and then I was in the hospital for a day or two before any contractions started. Lol

I read everything I got my hands on (books, internet, etc.) and watched as many vids as possible (TLC, Babycenter.com, etc.) but it was ALL in vain b/c I ended up having 2 c-sections... the one part I always skipped over in the books because I just *knew* I was going to have a peaceful, tranquil, natural birth..... pffffffft!!!! I was so clueless :)

Read everything I could get my hands on! Went on the internet everyday looking at pregnancy forums etc. Too many books to name and even rented DVDs about pregnancy and birth. Grossed my friends out by watching births on Youtube. Also went to antenatal classes and an Active Birth Workshop. In the end though, no book can ever prepare you. Most useful thing I learned for labour was actually the most simple. How to breathe through the pain, believe me - I did for three days!
