How did you find childbirth?

    Childbirth was an experience. I was induced, and ended up having a c-section after 27 hours of unproductive labor. For the most part, it was tiring, I had a few contractions that were painful.

    I hated it! I had a trial of labour for 14 hours established labour, had pre-labour for 2 days before then, had to drive an hour to a different hospital, then had to wait for theatre to become available for c-section.

    It was amazing... I was in labor for close to 36 hours but everything went so well, and actually giving birth was the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my entire life. I never thought i'd be able to delive vaginally, so when I did it was the best thing, and I felt so proud.

    It was the least fun experience of my life. I spent 5 days on magnesium sulfate, penicillin, sodium chloride, and pitocyn. I had a no food order for 5 days and a no water order for 3 days placed on my room. I was immediately considered high risk. I had her via c section after a failed induction. And she spent 14 days in the NICU. Not exactly my ideal situation lol

    i had a c section which was nearly as bad as i thought it might have been. the recovery sucked but everything else went good.

    Ciaran -- first time mother, so i didnt have a CLUE what was going on, i just remember feeling incredibly high from gas & air.......... andbegging the midwife for an epidural.....oh and screaming for my mum.... lol Alex-- horrendously painful, words do not describe. He was back to back. Possibly the most painful experience in my life!!!!!!!! from start to finish.

    With my first child having c-section was really scary and with my second having her naturally i had no idea of the pain.Couldn't wait for it to be over thats what i couldn't forget.

    hubby told every1 i tookit like a walk in the park!! mw's said they had never seen some1 so relaxed and quiet. my opinion- it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. mw asked (soon after delivery) if i would have another and i said yes.

    It was the easiest part of the pregnancy! I could easily give birth again. No pain afterwards, felt absolutely fantastic!

    Not too bad. I coped with gas and air and a tens machine. It was after she was born that I had problems. I had a third degree tear so had to have the epidural after she was born to have my 115 stitches in theatre. I also lost 2 pints of blood

    The waiting process was long!!!! But Smokey was there by my side and didnt get any sleep! I had to kept telling him to go and get something to eat and he kept asking if I was sure... but as soon as he was finish he came right back into the room sat in the chair that was next to me... and just sat there and move the hair out of my face and make sure iw as warm and everything... sooo sweet...

    the first baby was breach and a c-section..the second baby was a breeze. 5hrs labor, and 25min of pushing, very easy.

    I was in labor and 36 hours and did no dialate past a 2 or 3...so that was VERY frustrating. C-section was scary, but uneventful..this time I'm doing a planned c-section...I hope it goes well

    Darrel was in a hurry to get to the hospital, so I went in sooner than I would have liked, but I had a relatively easy time of it. i went drug free!

    It didnt go to plan, I had to get induced, had to have an epidural (But it was too late anyway) and ended up having to have a c-section the 3 things I didnt want. Lucky for me my labour was not very long at all less than an hour!!

    The first ended in an emergency C/S, and the 2 one ended up in a C/S under general anaesthetic.

    first one - ouch! 36 hours after induction with vacuum and forceps and about a trillion stitches. ash was born with herbs palsey & had to have physio for 6 months. lucky she's good now tho. needless to say the second two were c-sections.

    easy peasy. no drugs and all natural. =) the contractions hurt like a bitch but i went from 4cm to 10cm in five mins, then 20 mins of pushing and my princess harlow was out!

    Fast, Hard and intense! My entire labor was about 8 1/2 hours and my contractions were never more than 3 minutes apart. I was dilated to 4 within 3 hours.

    I couldnt handle contractions, they were so painful, dont know what i wouldve done without the epidural...the actual pushing was easy due to the epidural, i pushed for about an hour and she was out! afterwards was hard though

    The first was C-section. The other 2 were normal except the 2nd took 30+ hours. The 3rd was 8.
