Swaddle tightly, cradle baby against your shoulder and pat his or her back while making a firm "shhhh!" sound right in their ear. I read that online once and it worked miracles with my boys!

depends why they are crying... My baby only crys if hes really tierd which then I will cradle him give him is dummie and hes straight off to sleep, if hungry i obviously feed him.. if iritated I just take him for a walk around the house or if not cold i take him around the garden.. he soon calms down :)

if Casen is crying alot... i give him gas drops or tylenol (if i think his belly hurts or he is teething)....I change his diaper, wipe him down with baby lotion, Change his clothes, feed him a bottle, and rock him. That way everything has been taken care of so he doesnt have a reason to be unhappy

I think it all depends on why they are crying. If it's because of gass I would always hold my baby where their stomach is pressed to my chest and bounce them and it would help. If it's because of teething I would get a wash clothe and run it in cold water and let them suck on it while I rocked them to sleep. And for just a plain fussy baby I would always whisper in my baby's ear and sing and it worked great. Always would dim the lights and make the comfortable.
