i hate this question. because no matter how you think about it you will always make mistakes. you shouldnt base your parenting on what your parents did or didnt do for you

I have to say despite our issues now I do think my parents were great at bringing me up, I guess the only thing is not use them as someone to dump my problems on, I know everyone needs to talk but when the child becomes the parent something is wrong!

Raise her to be American and do lots of things with her... I hardly ever get to see my parents and they weren't supportive of me in any way.... So Im raising her the total opposite of how my parents raised me... and if they have a problem they can just go fly a kite cause Hailey will not have anything to do with them!

I will not degrade or humiliate my children. I will not use guilt and shame to make them listen, nor will I use any type of physical abuse to discipline. I still carry those emotional and mental scars to this day.

A major thing with me was help in school. I can never remember my parents helping with homework or pushing me to do work & I feel that played a part in why I never understood what was going on. I want to help my boys as much as possible.
