Hello everyone! My name is Niccole & I'm new to the group here. I'm living in Asheville, NC & have three children. Andrew is my 7 year old, who has been diagnosed with asperger's, mild autism & an anxiety disorder. We fought for a proper diagnosis from the time he was 2, and were given the "official" word when he was 6, about 9 months ago. We have since set up many services for him through TEACCH, ARC, Easter Seals, Advantage and more- I'm sure as most of you know, it's some really intense work.... yet well worth it! All I can say is never give up- never.
In any case, I wanted to introduce myself, hoping to make some new friends & exchange ideas.
Glad I found this group :)

Hi Niccole, I'm also new, just found this tonight. We've also been fighting for a diagnosis since my son was about 2. Finally at 7 years 9 months, we have a diagnosis of Aspergers. The support so far up here in Canada is virtually non-existent. We're looking around for services but it's a struggle. I also have a typical 6 year old girl. Good luck with you son.
