Please help me- toilet obsession

My son is 5 years old and has Aspergers. He has become obsessed with flushing toilets. He goes to the bathroom alll the time just to flush the toilet. I'm at my wits end. I don't know how to handle it. When we go to someone's house, the first thing he wants to go to the bathroom to see the name of the toilet. He knows the names of all my friend and family toiles. I've tried asking why he like the toliets and he said he like to see it flush. Has anyone else delt with this? Do u have any advice for me?

Thanks for the reply! All of my friends are aware of Jackson's obsession with toliets so they don't mind it all. They think it's cute and always comment how smart he is to remember all the names of everyone's toilet. I hope it passes soon also.

I have to say that I don’t have advice to give to get him to stop but I can at least lend you my shoulder to lean on for a little. I know obsessions can come and go but I do hope that he finds something different to take his mind off of this. Next time you visit someone make sure they know in advance how important this is for your little guy to investigate. If they complain over something like this then I would avoid visiting them at least until a new interest comes around. As quick as the obsessions hit, sometimes they are over just as quickly.
