Hi,
I am looking into relocating to the Atlanta area. I am a single mother of two, and I am interested in starting a buisness in the area. What is the best area to move to? I would like to live outside of the atlanta area in the suburbs. What is Atlanta like? I keep getting negative reports about Atlanta and I want to know what it is like in Atlanta before I make the decision to move there. Thanks! :-)

Atlanta is great place to live,work and play. It always have family fun events,shopping,economy wise its okay, great schools in most counties. You can google great schools.com and that will kind of guide you in the areas that are most beneficial for you and your children. Its always somethig to do definitely.
The economy is on a recovery staus and employers are hiring so one a scale of 1-10 I would give Atlanta an 8.5 because its always room for improvement any where in America.
But I think anyone can live with that.

Monique, I would tell you do some major research. I moved here from Baltimore for work. Then recession happened and I'm without a job (March 2009). They only thing that saves me is that my work background allows me work as an independent consultant. Schools systems are not very good unless you live north of Atlanta (North Fulton, Gwinette, Cobb counties). You can contact me dwashington2481@comcast.net if you have additional questions.
