Sleep deprived momma

Hi, I'm a pretty attached parent of a 91/2 month old boy. We having been sharing a bed with him since he was born and this has always felt right. Except for the sleep deprivation I am experiencing. At first I shrugged it off because sleeping with my angel was more important. Yet, now I am seeing very negative affects in my ability to cope with every day stress and being a mom.
I think it is time our boy move to his own bed, but I want to do this in the most gentle and loving way. I'm looking for advice, suggestions or stories from other parents who have gone through this.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you so much! It took me a long time to reply.
We actually don't have a crib, but today a friend let us borrow a co-sleeper so we are going to see how that goes.
I love this idea, and seeing as you are the only one who replied I think it is the one we will try!
Thanks again!
Sarah

Hey there

I was having these issues as well, its great to sleep with baby but its can be difficult sometimes. Being as gentle as possible with your little man is the most important thing and I think I may be able to help you with this

My baby has a 'sometimes crib', its a crib with one side taken off and its right next to my bed, nearly at the same height as my mattress. When he dozes off i sometimes put him in there and i make sure i sleep on that side of the bed, he has become quite used to being in there over time.

In the crib i have blankets that i have used so its smells super familiar and i can easily reach over when he stirs. I also practice patting and rubbing his back whilst feeding then when hes dozing off... so when i reach over into his little bed and do it in the middle of the night he just settles again.

Hope that helps!!!
