Does anyone have any suggestions for bedtime routines to mellow my, i think hyper baby? I thought maybe he was OT, but the earlier i have put him to bed, the longer he is goofing around. Is it typical of 10 month olds to seem so active? Wanting to crawl and walk around crib for sometimes an hour?

yeah hes not up for that long. btw 1-3 minutes. yeah prob. 13-14 hrs. yeah i will try that. thanks for the suggestions! i wonder if my routine is to long. i think maybe im missing the tired window. man i just cant figure this out! This mom stuff sure is trciky! Also he has ALWAYS woken up again and again every couple hours, before i come to bed. actually even when i was in bed, come to think of it. maybe because im putting him to bed to early or to late? how long should his wakeful period be from his last nap to bedtime? today the leddle booger skipped his last nap. couldnt get him to sleep for the life of me. he was up from noon to 7:25, but already woke up after his first sleep cycle. went right back to sleep when i went in to check on him.

Unless he is up a long time during the night time wakings, I wouldn't count too much the few minutes here and there. Or, add from when he fell asleep for the night and what time he wakes, take away whatever time he is awake at night... and see what the hours add up to. Just going by what you have mentioned is that he averages around 13 -14 hours, which is where he should be.
However, what I would play with would be trying to get him off to bed 30min earlier. If that doesn't work then trying 30min later (ie, first try 7.30pm for a week, if doesn't solve problem see if 8.30pm works).
Also, be mindful regarding how long your bed/night time routine takes, sometimes this can make a big difference too. Just 10minutes extra can mean missing the "tired" window and having to wait another 40minutes for the next one.
Anyway, hope this helps a little :-)

he naps btw 2-3hours a day. Night time is hard to add up with his waking from teething, i think. mayb he is OT from night waking?

How long does he nap during the day? I read somewhere that 10mth olds need somewhere in the vacinity of 14hrs of sleep (give or take an hour I think) in 24hours. Count the hours your son is sleeping in a 24hour period, then some answers may present themselves... :-)

Even if he wakes up in the morning between 6:30-7:30am?

See if you can get him to be up by 3PM. This way by 8 he is rubbing his eyes. My son went to daycare since he was 3 months old and the days that I picked him up at 4:30 if he was still sleeping it was hell to get him to bed at night. Good luck.

How late? He currently wakes up @ the latest @ 4:00. He goes to bed @ 8:00. We do the bath/ or shower/ diaper/ lotion/ onsie/brush teeth/ 3 books while rocking/ nurse/bed.

Not sure what you current routine is so its hard to make suggestions. We waiting for cues from our son and never really pushed the whole bedtime routine. You can try and do the whole bed, bath, books, quiet music thing and then perhaps rock him in your arms in a quiet room that is dark. Also, stay clear of late afternoon naps those are killer.
