I was wondering if anyone has had any difficulties getting their kids to stop wetting at night so they don't have to wear a nappy (diaper). My 5 yr old is very keen to get out them, but she just doesn't wake up, she just wets, and will sometimes wake up later when the wet has made her cold. she's been properly toilet trained during the day since she was about 2 and a half. I have already tried taking the nappy away and using a bed wetting pad, watching how much she drinks at night and taking her to the toilet before I go to bed at night, but we just don't have any success.
Any suggestions you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I started having the same problem with my son (bday is Aug.31st) about 3 months ago--he started wetting the bed at night a few times a week. He'd been potty trained since he was 3 ("late bloomer?") and all of the sudden starting having accidents all of the time. I had to start staying up until 10 or 11 each night to make sure I took him to the bathroom before I went to bed. Or I'd set my alarm to go take him potty around 11 if I went to bed sooner. I talked to his ped. about it, and the Dr. said a lot of children who start kindergarten end up having the same issue, mostly because school wears them out so much during the day that they have a hard time waking up to go potty at night. My son often says he thought he was sitting on the toilet when he peed the bed--I think he was dreaming. :o) Anyway, we haven't had any accidents at all as long as we remember to take him to the bathroom between 9-11pm though. Hope you get it figured out soon, I know how frustrating it is!
