My baby was born August 3rd in Washington, and then we moved to Texas this past year.

So far my husband stays home with him while I work, but he'll be going off to graduate school at Texas State-San Marcos starting this summer, so I guess things will change then.

Theodore is ~25 pounds, too short for his new Specialized Hotwalk bike :(, and a thick enough head that he doesn't fit many T-shirts (even at size 2T). His tops are 18 months (about to move up to 24 months) while he's just now starting to fit into his 18 months bottoms (hrms... This could be some of the bike problem)

He likes puzzles (and sometimes treats one of his set of books as a puzzle, trying to get the books back in) and shape sorters. He also likes the annoying Playskool Gears! Gears! Gears! thing for some odd reason! Outside (where he loves to be so we try to get out every day) he loves pushing around his Tonka Truck, his popper, or playing with a ball. He loves slides of all sorts. He's sorta of "in between" on swings because he's outgrowing the baby ones but can't handle the older ones himself. But when younger, he loved swings. He also loves to climb (couches, picnic tables, stairs, anywhere he can find a purchase to get up). He also likes those toys where you have 4 or 5 different "pop up figures" that each pop up after you turn/push/slide a different knob underneath. And just about anything that makes noise, esp. if it responds to you hitting it.

He's got a lovey of the old Hug and Learn Baby Tad, as well as a hand-tied fleece blanket he got as a baby.

He sits rear-facing in a Britax Marathon in one car and we have a Radian on order that we hope fits into my car. Otherwise, I'll be back hunting for a 2nd carseat for him. With his dad's schooling, we'll need to sometimes have one of us drop him off and the other pick him up. Before this, we've always just had the "baby's car" and the "doesn't have the baby" car. I'm a big car seat proponent.

Oh, one thing to add. He is saying a few words (his first word, at about 13 months, was "all done"), but hasn't added any in months and is overall not very verbal. I'm not even sure when he says Mama he means me -- he seems to think it means any woman. But is very active (obviously). And he understands what we say very well. He loves to "help" -- pulling out the laundry, cleaning out the lint trap, putting his shoes away, his clothes into his laundry/wash (He knows both words mean the same thing). When he has no socks out, he'll give us the dirty sock bag, knowing there are socks in there. He loves to put toys up in their containers, to help pick up stuff that has spilled, and to take silverware out of the tray and hand it to us to put away. Oh and flushing the toilet and putting trash in the trashcan. (And I'm not convinced he wouldn't put non-trash in as well if we didn't watch him!)
