My daughter is potty trained and I haven't had any problems with accidents for over a year, not even wetting the bed, but lately she has been having accidents just about everyday for the past few weeks. I have tried putting pull-ups back on her when she does have an accident. I have noticed that she does it when she is preoccupied with something. So what should i do to keep her from peeing herself?

Search online for a "potty watch" My son loves his! It is set either at 30min or 60min intervals. It goes off every hr or half hr, depending on what you set it on. Plus, it lights up and stuff as well as tells time. He is now fully potty trained and accident free with no "two steps forward, one step back" situation. I hope this helps, plus its a way for her to have some control (or feel as if she has control) over her body. Plus, if you notice that its while she is preoccupied, by having something on her wrist to distract her every hr or half hr, that might just prevent future accidents! :)

When my son had that problem we set a timer and when it went off he had to try to go potty. We kept increasing the time as he was more successful until he'd hid own without hearing the timer.

I found that setting a timer will encourage her to go. I usually set it for an hour and then let her see that whatever she was doing will still be there when she gets done. Whether its pausing a movie or coming back to a toy. This will reassure her she won't miss something by taking a potty break. I definitely wouldn't go back to pullups bcuz then she will think its acceptable to go in her pants.
