You know, I was worried about that as well. So at first, around 8 months old we starting buying those Gerber cookies for toddlers. She only had two teeth at that time too. She would put the WHOLE cookie in her mouth and just suck on it till it broke apart and was a paste. It got messy sometimes - but my Mom always tells me to let them get messy! Now she has four front teeth and we just buy those huge bags of cheap animal cookies at WalMart; same cookie pretty much just a LOT less price for more cookie!

My daughter has no teeth yet and she does pretty well with almost everything. She eats everything from the chicken soup, chicken, carrots, sweet potatos, and cheerios, cucumber, tomatos and spits out the peels. She even now ate a little piece of bagel.

My daughter only has her 2 bottom teeth as well and she pretty much eats what we eat. I just chop it up real small. Small pieces of meat and veggies.....she loves green beans and brocoli. I have also given her the Gerber banana cookies and the little Gerber animal crackers. She s very good at gnawing on things.

I give my twins table food and they have two bottom teeth.. I make sure its small enough though so they cant choke on it. I think it gives them a chance to learn how to chomp on food espcially since they are now getting two top teeth. They seem more intrested in chewing too.

Babies gum their food so things like watermelon, bananas, ripe pears, baked sweet potato, dunk cheerios in water for a few seconds and offer those. We also do steamed peas, shredded cheese, pretty much what we eat we try to make into a finger food for our son. My husband refuses to give our son anything packaged so I have had to get creative!
You can always put something in your mouth and gum it to see if you can eat it. Keep in mind that babies have more saliva that breaks down that food! Have fun!

My daughter only has 2 teeth and I give her soft foods, Gerber puffs, yogurt melts and the gerber lil crunchies. All of which I break into smaller pieces except the puffs. She seems to do well with them and she also eats sliced green beans, and just started her on stage 3 foods yesterday.
