9 months and barley sitting on his own

My son is 9 months 2 weeks. He has been crawling for a while now and his pulling himself up. I also found that he has been going from the crawling position and pushing his knees off the floor where he would be standing on his hands and his feet almost like he is trying to stand up. I suggest you just give him more time on the floor more than 20 minutes. When my son is at home we spend most of our time on the floor. And when he is at my mother in laws while I am at work he always on the floor also.

my son is 9 months and started the army crawl a few weeks ago...he's not fully crawling yet...he also is not sitting on his own nor pulling himself up...Be sure to give your son plenty of tummy time on the floor....keep trying to have him sit up a few time a day...he will eventually get it...& then before you know it he's going to be getting into everything & sitting up:) I have found that since he has been sitting in the high chair for meals that he is getting less wobbly...hang in there:)

My second son Tavin is 20 months and he didn't even crawl until after his first birthday. He didn't sit by hisself until he was almost 10 months. Now my third son, Taylor is almost 10 months and he still cannot sit, hold his own bottle, or crawl. I think that just give him time and he'll get it.

Have you tried a Bumbo seat?

Or when he is sitting on your lap put him towards the edge of your lap so he can't lean back on you.

My 9 month 3 week old sits quite well but does not crawl she can pull up and walk around holding the furniture. I have a little chair that I sit her in I think its called a Bebo chair. And it really helped build her muscles and balance for sitting.

My daughter is nearly 10 months and is not crawling yet, but she can sit up quite well. It's easy to compare your baby to others his own age, but try not to do it too much. He will crawl when he is ready. But if you are worried, talk to your health visitor or doctor.

hi, when u are not on the floor for play time where are you??? is he confined to a play pen, bouncy chair or swing??? my daughter has been crawling for a few weeks now, and is now pulling herself up... we spend all day playing on the carpet..except for her meals, nap and walk in the stroller... we are on the floor playing for hours...maybe he just needs some time to roll around and figure it out... when he falls while sitting, laugh so he knows that its okay and not scary...if u dont put any pressure on him or yourself he will be doing everything u want him to be... enjoy the moments before they are into everything... they end very fast once they get moving... good luck to u, hope this is helpful
