Hi ladies!!! I just had a question to ask you ladies. My son will be 15 months in 4 days. I`ve noticed that he is bowlegged. His left leg curves really bad. He seems to trip and fall easily. Should I be concerend? Do any of your babies seem to have this issue? Did they grow out of this? Thanks Amanda

Hi, my girl is 15 months and had the same problem with her left foot. It was really bad when she first started walking at 13 months but it is alot better now. I think they just grow out of it so I don't think it is anything to worry about...

Hello! I am mom of 4. 3 of whom were bowlegged. They all straightened out on their own with no assistance. My 15 month old is bowlegged and she trips al;ot because one foot turns inwards still. The more she wear her shoes the more I notice it straightening out. She needed the extra support from the shoes to help train her ankle/foot to turn the right way. Doc said if it dont straighten out in a few months then they can put a brace on to help guide it int the right direction.

I think most kids this age are bowlegged - you try walking with a diaper between your legs, lol! But, sounds like he has a bit more than most. the best judge is your doctor. More than likely it will straighten out over time.

Mine is extremely bow legged...I don't know if I have a good picture of it on my profile or not, but it's bad!! He kind of walks on the side of his feet and trips up a lot, so I asked his pediatrician about it and she said that she thinks it's fine, but is going to keep an eye on him. She said that she has to let him walk for a year at least before she'll refer him to a specialist because they said that most of the time they will correct themselves. He see's a genetics counselor as well due to a depleted chromosome and he wants to keep a closer eye on his legs to watch for Blouts Disease. I had it as a child, was as bowlegged as Oliver, and am still bowlegged.
