Brushing those little teeth

My daughter will be 11 months in a few day and she has 6 beautiful little teeth, that she will not for the life of her let me brush. It is sure a chore everyday of get in her mouth with her little tooth brush. Her teeth need to be brushed, and I hate the fight that she puts up when it is time to do it. Any suggestions?

My daughter only has 2 teeth, my dr told me to brush them when she has 5 or more. Sounds strange, but she doesnt get much sugary food. I have one of those rubber toothbrushes that has soft bristles on it, she chewed on it when I first tried to brush her teeth when she had one.

Before she got teeth I got my girl to gum the toothbrush and now I brush her teeth in the bath. She holds the end while I try and brush them. She doesn't always allow me too though.

I taught my daughter to "Show me your Grrrrrrrrr face" and she does it works great. We laugh and I brush

I let my Lila hold her toothbrush while I am brushing my teeth. She mainly chews on it and sucks the water, but she became used to it in her mouth. Then it is a lot easier to brush once they don't mind the brush. I agree that it should be fun.

You could also try distracting her with something while brushing.

Also, try the vibrating toothbrush, she may find it funny.

i have been brushing my teeth in front of my daughter since i brought her home from the hospital... i smile big and make it fun, she loves to get her teeth brushed just like mommy does... babies love to immitate you, so make it fun.. hope this helps!
