My little guy Zachary is about 3 months 1/2 and he is always hungry. I started to give him a bit of water in the morning and in the evening but that doesn't change anything. I'm nervous to start the cereal cause so many books say to try to wait to 6 months. I really don't think I can wait that long. Between feedings he's usually pretty good for 1 hour 1/2 or so and then he's hungry again. I really need some advice!!

are you nursing? If so, is he getting full feedings at each feeding? Sometimes if they are not getting enough hind milk, they'll be hungry. My baby is also 3 1/2 months and for the first 3 months I fed her for 30 minutes. Now I have plenty of milk and she only nurses for about 15 minutes.

Also, is he sleeping through the night. That might also cause him to eat more frequently during the day.

I tend to wait for food, especially if allergies run in the family. If you are going to give him cereal, I wouldn't buy the stuff in the store. Try to make your own. It's easy.

Aeryn is 3 mths and I've been giving her cereal for a couple of weeks now. I make a couple teaspoons worth when mixed with breast milk and use a medicine eye dropper to dribble it on her tongue. She gets a kick out of it like it's a new game. We'll wait a few more weeks before trying it with a spoon.

My son is 3 and 1/2 months also and he's been eating cereal for 3 weeks. His weight was a little low so we started feeding him apple rice cereal at night before bed. It took him a week or so to get used to it, but he loves it now. We feed him the rest of his bottle afterward and he's out like a light for 5 to 7 hours.

I guy is on cereal and applesauce. My pediatrician said you sould be 3-4 hours between feedings if there hungry they need more. Are you breast feeding? How many ounces is he up to per feeding?

I started giving my son Pabulm when he was about 2 1/2 months old(and he will be 4 months Dec 14th)-(the nestle rice cearl with formula) and he is doing really good, you pretty much know when they are ready for cereal when they start making the chewing motions with their mouth, but only feed him once a day, and then after he is done with the pablum give him the rest of his bottle, and he will be full.

I hope this helps.
