My son used to love Curious Buddies, but he has recently gotten tired of it. Now he loves Winnie the Pooh and The Tigger Movie. What programs/movies does your child like to watch? I'd love to know what to be looking for when he finally gets tired of Winnie the Pooh.

We tried Kipper through Netflix last night. He loved it! I've also heard about the ADD study. What we try to do is to limit how much he watches. He can watch 1 program in the the morning while we get ready for work and one in the evening, then we turn off the TV for playtime and reading. He only watches 1 to 2 programs during the day with my in-laws. So, probably no more than 2 hours a day of sitting in front of a TV. We put "Your Baby Can Read" videos in first thing in the morning and I believe that really helps him learn his words. I think it is hours in front of the TV that affects their brains. Thanks for all of the suggestions, I have a list now for Netflix!

My daughter will dance to the music at the beginning of every show but has absolutely no interest in watching TV. I heard of a study recently that says children under 2 should not watch TV as it could aid in the development of ADD or some other such learning disorder. Anyone else heard anything about that?

I can't get my son to sit still long enough to watch too much TV, but he does like the Wiggles. He is really into music.

My daughter doesn't watch much tv, but things she has liked: Signing Time, and old illustrated movie you've probably never heard of called Scamper the Penguin, and Leap Frog Letter Factory.

My son loves watching Elmo. They are short enough to keep his attention and they also put three short programs on one disk.

We actually do have Netflix and it never occurred to me to put some of his on there. I wish we had tried out some we had bought first. I thought Bob the Builder might be good, so I'll try that, plus Kipper and see if the Yo Gabba Gabba has anything on Netflix. We don't have cable TV, so most of the programs are on there. Thanks for the suggestions!! That helps a lot.

Yo Gabba Gabba. It comes on and she stops what she is doing and runs to the TV. And it has taught her a lot...where her mouth, nose, face is. How to jump, skip, baby steps/big steps, etc.
