Love Evenflo Expressions !!! We have two of them. They hold up well and easy to clean. My little girl loves to seat and play as well as eating in it.

Highchairs are so overrated. I would have gotten the one that attaches to a regular chair, except we needed all our chairs..lol. I bought a Baby Trend, and although I didn't have good luck with the chair, and had to exchange it, Babies R Us was awesome with the whole ordeal. Make sure your straps can be washed, and that you are comfortable taking it apart to clean. I had a problem with the buckle itself, and had to have it replaced. I like that my tray can go into the dishwasher. It is adjustable to many heights and reclines. It does not travel well, but did we not buy it for that purpose. Going into the stores to check them out, my husband and I played with them all. Why pay for a higher end brand that frankly doesn't offer you higher end features. I'm so sick of brand name pricing. As I said, I am pleased with my $79 purchase, except for dealing with the manufactuer. Dealing with the store level was much easier. (the owners manual urges you not to go through the retailer with issues)

So in order of importance to me:

Price

Ease of cleaning

Adjustable straps- (enough to fit a toddler)

Dishwasher safe tray

washable straps

easy to remove chair padding (don't forget the material) some ppl prefer vinyl.

storage under seat (bibs, wipes toys etc..) I did not know how much I would rely on this!

Easily removeable tray (one handed of course)

Hope this helps!

I just bought the Fisher Price Space Saver chair. It attaches to your dining room chair. It has three height adjustments and 3 recline positions. We just bought the chair on 2/6/09 and have been very pleased so far. Price was about $50. I bought ours at BabiesRUs.

We just bought this one too and I love it. It attaches right to your kitchen chair so baby can be a part of meal time and when you are done with it you can just take it off and put it away. It has three reclining postitions. Plus it converts into a booster seat. Best part is it was only $54 great deal if you ask me.

I agree, this one is so versatile and easy to take to Grandma and Grandpa's....my toddler uses it as well as my 6 month old....it was one of the best purchases I've made.  My sister has a Chicco seat that was clunky, hard to store, and actually fell apart with use....best is to test at the store for versatility...and read customer reviews online before you buy...

Honestly, i think high chairs are big and bulky, I bought a First Years chair. It attaches to a regular dining room chair, it's only 30 bucks at target and it has several different positions so it grows with them, i love it, he loves it, and i can take it with me to restaraunts.

I got the Chicco one because i have the travel system and love it but hated the high chair! The straps are hard to unbuckle (almost impossible)! I am borrowing one form my sister in law and it is ok. I am going to try the booster that attaches to any chair. But, I have heard that you need one that has wheels and reclines. The one I am using has both (baby trend) and she does pretty well with it!

We live in a tiny apartment, so we got one of those that attatches to the kitchen table. I like it because it's really small and Lydia can sit at the table with the rest of us at dinner. I also like it because there's not a whole lot of extra to clean because there's no tray, just the table.

as with all baby needs, you need to get the one that suits your life style. if you are home bodies and never eat out then a big one that is hard to move is fine, if you are out a lot you would be better with a small one that goes on a dining chair or one that goes onto the table.  Look on the internet for different sorts and then go and look at them try them out, good luck.

I have the First Years chair from Babies R Us. It cost me $23.00... It attatches to the dining room chair and is great for travel and if you have limited space. It works from newborn to toddler. The back comes off and it is turns into a booster seat.

Hi!

I went for cheep and durable, Antilop at IKEA $19.99.
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/catego...

My fiance red a test that stated that this chair was the best and the only flaw was, as with any other chair there is a risk of the child getting out of the chair. THis is prevented by a little safety belt in the IKEA chair, something the other brand charis lack.
