My daughter Kylie weighs only 15lbs 14 ounces. It seems small to me. How much does your baby weigh?

My daugther Alayna was only 15# at her 9 month check-up in May, but her brother was 18#. She still is much smaller....I guess they all have their own "plan." But is healthy and happy...your daugther sounds the same...maybe a small frame?

Quoting Kimberly:

Your doctor will let you know if there is an issue! Each child develops differently! Not everyone has a little moose like me! LOL! My Alex was born 8-24-08 and now weighs 23.5 pounds and is 28.5 inches!

I have a moose too. My girl Kadance is 23.5. Born Aug 23. How much did you babe weigh at birth? Her   6bl 13oz

My son is 21 lbs now but I think it is more how is her ratio to her height? Also, I think the goal is 3x birth weight by one year, which my little man is not going to make!

as long as she is eating and thriving I would not worry, as PP mentioned every baby is different

my daughter Bridget just went to the docs (unplanned visit) yesterday and she was 21.4 lbs fully dressed ... she will be 11m the 20th

My son weighs about 19 lbs and is about 28" long. He eats a lot but he's always on the move so he doesn't get much chance to gain weight. He's been walking for about 2 months now.

My August 19th baby only weighs 16.6 lbs and he's just weeks away from the 11 month mark. Yes, this is small, but peds take many things into consideration with babies. First off, both mom and dad are on the short side and dad was a tiny baby and a small kid. My ped weighs my baby often to make sure he doesn't drop in weight or slow down. So far he is following his curve and all is well. :)

My daughter weighs in at about 21pounds. She is also tall at 27 inches so I don't know if that will help you. If you are really worried ask your doctor next time you bring her in.

My son weighs 18lbs 12 oz. He was born on Aug 28th. He is only in the 10th percentile for his weight. However he has GERD, Gastroparesis(slow emptying stomach) , and a severe milk allergy that we just found out about.

My daughter Madison weighed 17.3 pounds and 27 3/4 inches at her 9 month check up. My older daughter Emma weighed an ounce lighter and 1/2 an inch longer at her 9 month check up. I always heard that they should triple their birth weight by a year and if that's the case both my girls took care of that by 9 months...I look at small babies as a blessing, they are smaller and "babies" longer:)

Lucas doesn't go back to the doctor until August for his one year but when I took him for his 9 month appt. He weighed 30lbs and was 31" long. He is a chubba. He is hitting all of his milestones, He is already walking. All babies are different. As long as she is gaining I would'nt worry. Lucas was born on 8/10.

My daughter just had her 9 1/2 mos check up and was 16 lbs 11 oz, 25 inches long. Doc is not worried at all as she comes from parents that are on the small side with high metabolisms. She has a nice chunk of baby fat behind her knees and thighs too!

At his 9 month checkup, my son weighed in at 18lbs after 3 months of no weight gain (15lbs) and even some weight loss. The Dr's were concerned, but was happily surprised at his last visit. When he was born he was 6lbs 13oz. He's seeing his paediatrition tomorrow...my fingers are crossed. ;-)

My little chunk, Adam, was born on 4th Aug 08 and is at the other end of the scale as he is now over 29lb! He is not fat, just solid and very tall for his age. He eats exceptionally well but not junk. He did have a head start and was 11lb 2oz at birth. People say that he will slow down but there's no sign of it at the moment, despite crawling, standing and climbing. He wears 2 year old clothes. He's off all the charts but I'm not worried as he's healthy and happy. It would be a very boring world if we were all the same!

My daughter Abigail weighed 14lbs 15 ounces at her last appt. She is going in for a weight check on the 29th of this month. I guess the doctor is starting to get concerned. She suggested putting olive oil into her baby food for some extra calories...you might try it if you are wanting to put some weight on her.

As you can see from all of these reponses, weight varies a lot! My guy is 24 lbs and already looks like a linebacker! As long as she is eating and healthy, I wouldn't worry.

My daughter Laila Grace weighs 21lbs 2 ounces and 28 1/2 inches. Everytime she sees me eating she wants to eat...and not baby food, the real deal. But like some others have said, every baby is different and as long as your daughter is progressively gaining weight at her doctors visits then I wouldn't worry about it.
