My son's name is Marcus and he has a drinking problem.
My son would drink juice all day long if you let him. I try to water it down considerably, but how much juice should a toddler be drinking in a day?

I give my daughter probably 8 oz of juice a day. It's V8 Fusion (the 1 serving fruit/1 serving veggies kind). We never water it down or give her water, but that's mostly because she's always had trouble gaining weight and can use all the calories she can get. We never give her plain water, always juice or milk (same reason).

My doctor told us to go milk at mealtimes and very dilluted juice once or twice a day. I do about 7oz water and 1oz juice. The rest of the day he gets water.

I only give 3 oz juice diluted with 3 oz of water a day. Milk and water at other times. Mostly milk.

My doctor has recommended from the beginning that I don't give my baby any juice. He is concerned with the sugar/calories and the effect it could have on her appetite. We have stuck strictly to milk at meal time and water otherwise. She is, so far, a very good eater (except when she is teething) and enjoys her milk and water. However, it may be difficult to implement this type of regiment once they are used to drinking juice.

my doc says that she would rather my little one get her fruit from real fruit, therefore, no more than 1-2 ounces a day diluted with 7 ounces water. Then no more than 16 ounces of milk and the rest water. It took a while for her to accept the water, but now she likes it.

My girl has two 6oz beakers of milk and one 6oz beaker of juice (50/50 with water) - she wont drink water, nor anything else for that matter! Pure fruit juice is good for them if theyre constipated, but otherwise our health visitor says its best avoided cos it can harm their teeth

my son is 16 months and his doctor and dentist told me he should only have watered down juice at mealtime only (6 oz) and water the rest of the day. I was giving him juice and milk all day. its hard but I am trying.

My son is 16 mths old and I give him a little bit of diluted juice in the am ONLY! I work with the Healthy baby, Health Children program, and they don't reccomend it at all. They say it can ruin their teeth...

My doctor recommended 4oz of juice a day when my daughter was 12 months, but I think they can have up to 6oz of juice a day before age 6. I usually put 4 oz of juice with 4 oz of water. Hope this helps!
